Soldiers spend ¾ of their service time in sleeping bags. And upon returning home, too many of them end up on the streets, back in a sleeping bag.

Veterans Community Project constructS tiny-home villages to shelter, protect, AND provide mental health services to disenfranchised Veterans.

To raise money & bring awareness to this problem, we built A replica of the tiny homes AS an immersive installation.

Built from their past, The bricks tell their stories,A step towards their future.

Each series of bricks on the installation was embedded with scannable stories, reinterpreted and narrated by Veterans who turned their life around at VCP.

37,828

⅓ of the adult homeless population are Veterans.

The sleeping bags soldiers are issued are a poor replacement for the comfort of a warm bed. And upon returning home, too many of them end up on the streets, back in a sleeping bag.

On any given night 37,828 Veterans are homeless.

Veterans Community Project wants to make that number zero.

Founded by a group of combat Veterans in Kansas City, we work to support every man and woman who took the oath for our country. We’ve built a village of tiny houses to get Veterans off the street.

Since opening in January 2018, Veterans have spent 4,501 safe nights of sleep under our roofs. Kansas City is the blueprint for achieving similar success in cities across the country.

Your donation to Veterans Community Project contributes to the long-term goal of eliminating Veteran homelessness nationwide.

In just a few short weeks, The Battle Home raised thousands for the cause, and will next travel around the country to Denver and New Orleans to continue sharing the goal of this incredible initiative.
